Sitabani Zone – Jim Corbett National Park

The Heart of Wildlife & Adventure in Corbett

Sitabani Zone, also known as the buffer zone of Corbett, is famous for its mythological significance and beautiful landscapes. Unlike other safari zones inside the core reserve, Sitabani is managed by the Forest Department, which makes it an ideal place for those who love peaceful wildlife experiences with fewer restrictions. The zone is believed to be the place where Goddess Sita stayed during her exile, making it a popular destination for both wildlife and pilgrimage lovers.

This zone is rich in wildlife like elephants, deer species, sambhar, wild boar, and a huge range of colorful birds. Although tiger sightings are rare, the natural beauty, river streams, and dense forest areas make Sitabani a wonderful location for photography and nature walks. Visitors can also explore ancient temples and scenic viewpoints inside the forest area.
