Bijrani Safari Zone – Jim Corbett National Park

The Heart of Wildlife & Adventure in Corbett

The Bijrani Zone of Jim Corbett National Park is one of the most thrilling and scenic zones for wildlife exploration. Known for its rich biodiversity and excellent tiger sighting records, this zone attracts wildlife lovers, photographers, bird watchers, and nature explorers from across the world. Featuring a perfect blend of dense sal forests, golden grassland plains (Chaurs), freshwater streams, and quiet trails, Bijrani offers a true jungle experience in its most natural state.

Located just a short distance from Ramnagar, the zone is easily accessible via Amdanda Gate, making it one of the most preferred entry points for day safari visitors. The forest here was once used as a hunting ground during the British era, but today it stands as a protected haven supporting thriving wildlife, including majestic Bengal Tigers, Asian Elephants, leopards, sloth bears, deer species, reptiles, and around 600+ species of birds.

A safari in Bijrani offers high chances of spotting big cats due to open visibility and healthy prey density. Apart from tigers, frequent sightings include:

  • Herds of wild elephants
  • Chital (spotted deer), Sambar & Hog deer
  • Wild boars, langurs & monkeys
  • Rich birdlife including hornbills, woodpeckers, and migratory species

The zone’s varied terrain enhances both wildlife conservation and visitor experience, making every moment exciting and unpredictable.
